Sue S. Miller
I am a graduate of Memphis College of Art (BFA painting 1978) and University of Memphis (MFA painting 1981) and am one of the four founders of Artists Link.
After moving to Easley S.C. in 2014 I learned watercolor technique and have used it for series of painting that I donate to my church, Triune Mercy Center, to support their social Justice programs.
My visual images, my artistic intention and my professional activities all express one central philosophy: that Art and Life flow from the same deep creative energy. This is not an elitist notion. All humans have access to the source of creativity. My visual work comes from my daily life, my dreams, emotions and reading, not separate from who I am as a person.
I have exhibited in many one- and two-person, juried and invitational shows and won several awards. My work is in the Tennessee State Museum Contemporary Collection in Nashville, The Tennessee Valley Authority in Knoxville, Moons International in Memphis, and various private collections.
