Freelance Comic Artist, Illustrator, & More
Art comes in all shapes, sizes, and colors – you know it’s good if you can’t stop staring!
I was raised in Memphis, Tennessee where my love for visual arts first began. From an early age, I loved reading comic books. The first notable examples were the artist who made their characters seem more life-like. It was comics drawn by the like, Neil Adams, Jack Kirby, Jim Mooney Thomas P. Gill, and Kurt Schaffenberger just to mention a few but later that fixation expanded to those illustrators who take this skill into the world of superheroes during recent times. These past and present artist have greatly influenced me and carried me down the path as an illustrator when it comes to black and white illustrations.
Throughout my childhood, I constantly had a pencil, and paper in hand, ready to visualize my own characters. I was fortunate enough to have two loving parents who supported me since day one and allowed me to explore this passion and develop it into what it is today. My father was always my private tutor. I had attended college and a trade school where I pursued a career in graphic design and print production. Without the help from my parents, friends, peers and mentors I couldn’t have ever made it this far. I’m not done yet though! Once I retired from the everyday grind, I’ve began contributing occasionally as a freelance artist on various endeavors and work to inspire others the same way the artist of my childhood inspired me. Everything you can imagine is real. Art is not what you see, but what you make others see.
