PAUL CLARKE
Paul Clarke is a native Southerner whose family has resided in the South for nearly two-hundred years. His early years were spent in Memphis. In the 60s, he lived and visited places such as Japan, Indonesia, Egypt, Germany, and much of the United States, traveling around the world before the age of 15. Paul attended college at The University of Memphis and majored in Radio, TV, and Film. He taught Graphic Arts for Memphis City Schools in the late 70s.
As I travel the Delta, I am inspired by what I see everyday. I look around and wonder about the lives, emotion and dreams of those who came before. These photos are the results of my Wandering.
My creativity is not a product of logical thought even though the final photo is tied to a logical structure. I want to change the way others perceive the everyday world by stimulating their imaginations through my photographs.
