Patsy Wadlington
Patsy was born in Mississippi and graduated from the University of Mississippi with a BA in English and a secondary teaching certificate. She did post graduate work at the University of Memphis acquiring an elementary education endorsement. Her love for drawing and painting developed through the years of raising her children and classroom teaching. Being a student of the Bible resulted in a love for the beauty of God’s creation in all forms and a desire to express this love through the wonderful world of art. “I am drawn to paint what I love,” says Patsy and this lead her to jump headfirst into painting portraits of her grandchildren. She trained and studied first with acrylics under the eye of Memphian Kay Spruill Bernstein, then switching to oil she continued under the guidance of Dave Kramer in Dallas, TX. Currently she enjoys the instruction of Judy Nocifora and painting in the company of other talented artists from whom she gleans inspiration and further skills. Her hope is to grow and improve with each painting in order to bring joy, encouragement, and blessing to others and lift spirits in a needy world.
