As a native of West Tennessee, I graduated from high school in Jackson, TN; then I attended Union University and graduated from the University of Tennessee with majors in both English and Spanish and a minor in Psychology.  As a member of the Mid-South Artist League, Memphis, TN, the Tipton County Art League, Artist’s Link and CaFÉ meeting with other local artists, sharing works, supporting exhibitions and promotion of the arts are some of the ongoing endeavors of mine.

Having retired from the group health insurance industry, painting in various mediums and styles has become a great learning opportunity and challenge for the past several years. Being self-taught, with a family history of artists whose endeavors cross many mediums, the legacy continues.  My mediums include acrylics, acrylic pours, watercolor, colored pencils and oil. The opportunity to teach a watercolor class for the Mid-South Art League was a privilege in being able to share my experience with this medium. By request, I have given instructions in acrylic tree drips to a private class.

My paintings have been exhibited and/or are still on exhibit at the Old Millington Winery, St. Matthews Church, in Covington, TN., Tipton County Spring Festival , Dyersburg State Community College, Tipton County Library at the Jimmy Naifeh Center, Art, Body & Soul Studio, Memphis, TN, the Mid-South Artist Gallery, Memphis, TN. and the West Tennessee Delta Heritage Museum. My paintings are in Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama and Oklahoma. A Filing Certificate has been certified by Artmajeur, Montpellier, France for a watercolor painted on YUPO pape
