Mary Pera
I attended University of Memphis and Memphis College of Art where I honed and improved my skills. I have been painting for 50+ years and teaching for 30+ years. I still enjoy instructing students today, who are eager to learn and show interest in all aspects of painting.
When teaching, I cover all subject matters due to people’s different interests, but my favorites include still life and landscapes. Specializing in oil, I incorporate Old Masters techniques while also using the palette knife.
I have acquired numerous awards, and my paintings reside in many private homes and businesses throughout the community.
