As I enter my mid-50s, I can hear that small voice getting clearer and feel that tug on my heart that says, “let's go color.” When I was young, I enjoyed drawing and being creative with clay, inks, wood-burning, color pencils, well, just about anything. Then I became an adult with responsibilities.

Over the years, I have drawn in spurts, then life would get busy again. Recently I keep asking myself, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" The answer always comes from that small child who is still waiting to “go color”—I want to be an artist.

I may not have figured it all out yet with a flashy artist vision statement, a bio full of achievements, and lots of shows lined up, but I’m ready. I’m ready to take my years of life and experiences, my love of nature and animals, and my travels to some of the most fantastic places in America and abroad, and declare my admiration and awe. I want to color with my heart on canvas and lay bare all the beautiful emotions the natural wonders of our world have provided me.

Come with me on my journey and explore nature with a brush.
