Lynn Reed
Lynn was born in Buffalo, New York, and moved to Memphis. She attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and studied Biology as well as Forestry and Wildlife Management. Lynn has always maintained a love and appreciation for nature, animals and the great outdoors. Lynn's interest in art began and was limited to High School. Now, forty years later, she has reconnected with painting, and credits Marilyn Wannamaker, an artist and teacher at the Memphis Botanic Gardens, for bringing out the artist within and finding her personal style. Lynn's paintings reflect an intimate attachment to places she frequented throughout her life. Her art is characterized by intense color, attention to detail, and letting nature's drama guide the composition.
