Libby Anderson is a former elementary art teacher having taught in Mississippi, Tennessee and Pennsylvania. She earned a B.F.A at Mississippi University for Women in commercial art and art Education. When she lived in Pennsylvania she took multiple watercolor painting classes and workshops from renowned artists including Frank Webb, Carla O’Connor and Margaret Martin.

After returning to The Memphis area she revisited oil paintings and took lessons locally. She began attending oil painting workshops with Dreams Tolle Perry , Carol Marine and Karen O’Neil where she learned from the unique approach each brought to painting.

No longer teaching, she enjoys being able to paint everyday.Membership in Memphis Germantown Art League and Artists’ Link has given her opportunities to exhibit her work locally.

Her work is in collections all over the country, Europe and Australia.
Art is definitely a way of life for her as an artist. When she is not in the studio she finds herself observing life around her and “painting in her head.”
