Kelly Blumenthal
I create art to inspire others to protect earth’s beauty and vitality!
Inspired by my grandfather a forester, who passed on his love and respect of nature. And I was raised by an art and design teaching mom.
I work to capture nature, coastal areas, and cloudscapes.
Art continued to flow throughout my life from childhood to college.
I studied anthropology and art in college and worked as a photographer for the Daily Helmsman and Yearbook, at the UofM. Worked in layout and design for the Lamplighter Newspaper.
While raising a family I taught preschool, kindergarten, art enrichment programs, and was a blogger for MoMMaps. Honored to have contributed to Art Auctions for Rock the Ribbon, the Orpheum and Playhouse on the Square.
And was especially proud of a joint art showing with dear friend Allison Brick at Playhouse on the Square, Fall - 2019.
Currently my photography of the Shelby Farms area is available at the Shelby Farms Park Gift shop.
