Bobby Anderson (aka RVA246) is a painter, sculptor, and award-winning filmmaker who works in wood, metal, oil, acrylic, watercolor, and mixed media. He holds degrees in Studio Art and Art History from The University of the South (Sewanee) as well as a Master of Arts from The University of Memphis. His delightfully inventive and engaging work, including reverse glass paintings and “form, function, fun” robot lamps, can be found in private collections in this country and internationally.

“My dad was an engineer. My mom was a creative writer. I guess it’s natural I like making things that provide function along with a dynamic, undying fun - inventions and stories that speed pulses, engage imaginations, and produce big fat smiles. While I can work in the classical, most of my work is modern, open and whimsical, guided by the moment toward some final creation that ‘works’ over and over, hopefully conjuring that essential magic we all enjoy.”
